A Powerful Melodic blend of Heavy Rock and Metal with wispy moments of folk, classical, creating a Metal album that at has moments of Rock Opera in it.

After a long hiatus Teodor Tuff resurfaced with its self-titled debut album in 2009. The album was well received and entered the Norwegian charts. The album had clear references to the 70’s, both in the music and in the lyrics.

The band subsequently did support shows for both Whitesnake and Deep Purple.

Teodor Tuff is, however, a band in constant change. Upon the departure of three members in 2010, the band was joined by Christer, Rayner and Terje Harøy, lead guitarist, bass player and vocalist, respectively. Christer and Rayner are brothers, and also happen to play in Divided Multitude. Terje is their cousin.

The band’s sound has now changed dramatically, and Teodor Tuff comes across as a pure metal band with its own distinct sound; guitarist Knut Lysklætt’s inspiration from classical music, rock opera, musicals and even Middle East folk songs, is mixed with the Harøy clan’s thoroughbred metal. As a result, Teodor Tuff’s second album – Soliloquy – is a truly exiting release!

The following very impressive guest performers have contributed to the album: Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Mattias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), Martin Buus (Mercenary), Eskild Kløften (Divided Multitude) Jacob Hansen and Tonje Harøy. The four guitar solos in rapid succession on the epic track Heavenly Manna, where Harøy, Buus, Waters and Eklundh do their best to outdo each other, must be certainly be up there among the greatest guitar solos of all time.

The album is mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Mercenary, Pestilence etc).

Cover photographs were shot by Frode Pedersen and the cover-art and cover-design was created by Mattias Norén.

Enter a new band to me for 2012. Album is loosely a concept album relating to corruption in governments, churches & the likes of power hungry
individuals who think they're better than others. 100% clean singing that just sounds great, no whining, no gruff parts trying to sound tough, just
excellent vocals the way great metal used to get done on a more regular basis.rnAs for the music, the chorus' have a slight pop-metal feel to them but
are very catchy & extremely memorable to the point you WILL remember lyrics or various song parts after the first listen. The guitar work is full
of power, with driving upbeat songs containing fairly heavy riffs & melodic guitar leads that never sound stale (there's a catchy vibe you can't
help wanting more of). When keyboards are used, they are quite upfront in lieu of just used for atmosphere & add nicely with the song overall,
never overstaying their place. There are also some acoustic interludes on songs such as Hymn for an Embattled Mind, Lullaby & Mind Over Matter
that break up the storm of riffs without being too mellow. It really is the overall musicality of this album that makes it such a pleasure to listen
to and despite how I've described this album, make no mistake, this is a full on guitar driven album. And that's it in a nutshell, after one listen,
this album was memorable & with subsequent listens became a favorite of mine for this fall season. This one has been in rotation for 2 weeks
straight because it IS really that good. I hope to hear more from this band in the future because they have great talent at songwriting &
instrumentation.
