Recently Nightmare records inked a deal with Seven Kingdoms to release their upcoming "self titled" album Seven Kingdoms due to hit streets July 13th worldwide via Nightmare Records and associated distribution partners.

Martin.

Playing shows throughout the southeastern region of the United States, the band share the stage with bands Sonata Arctica, The Agonist, Stephen Pearcey, Circle II Circle. In 2009 the band solidified their lineup and the new and improved Seven Kingdoms finished their self titled sophomore effort again at the well known Morrisound Studios.

  1. a sound to behold Review by spacekev

For the past few months, I have been seeing reviews and postings about Seven Kingdoms. I know several people that had seen them at ProgPower XI. I decided that I had better check them out. I am glad I did because they are a sound to behold. Lots killer of Iced Earth and Kamelot inspired riffs. On top of that, the vocals of Sabrina Valentine. The addition of a female vocalist is brilliant. Her voice enhances, and perfectly contrasts, the powerful tunes. "Thunder Of The Hammer" is a fist pumping scream along. "Seven Kingdoms" is the epic song in the collection. The ballad, "A Murder Never Dead" ventures into Evanescence territory and really showcases Sabrina's range. Seven Kingdoms is a definite must. Mar/22 2011 Let me begin by stating that I am in no way what you would call a music critic. I am just a regular every day working man who truly enjoys music. And cannot face a day without it. Being 53 years young, my musical tastes are far ranging. From main stream rock, to all forms of metal old and new. As well as some classical, and epic movie soundtracks mixed in. More recently I have moved more towards metal bands with orchestral backing, such as Nightwish, Edenbridge, and Within Temptation.

When I first listen to a new band I know right off if it has something to offer me. And “Seven Kingdoms” was no exception. The bands “fast paced” “hammer” driven” “power metal” sound, is equally matched by the strong “echoic” vocals of lead singer Sabrina Valentine. Her very rare and unique vocal style, is reminiscent of the female lead from an 80’s Canadian band called “Toronto”. And she is definitely Seven Kingdoms meal ticket! Her softer side on “A Murder Never Dead” is haunting and beautiful. Then she “rips full out” on “Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing” (which is the very first track I heard, and forced me to take notice). All through the album, this lady demonstrates her powerful volume range.

Intelligent, story laden lyrics, and creative arrangement as well. While only barely having been let out of the starting gate. This very impressive debut shows what this band is capable of. They definitely have a bright future ahead. And I will be keeping an eye out for more of what they have to offer. Check out “Seven Kingdoms”…I promise you won’t be able to stop listening.
